RIP BOOKSHELVES

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110519/ap_on_hi_te/us_tec_amazon_kindle_1 It is a sad day when people think that a ipad, kindle or computer is a better place for a book. I take pride in my bookshelf at home. When people come to my house and see it they see that i have a hunger for knowledge and that I am well read. It's like a Cd collection (also pretty much exstinct). Someone can look through and see what your interest are by the music that is in your rack. Same thing with a book shelve. They can see I study poetry, malcolm X, Kareem Abdul Jabar, Script writing etc. Instead its "Hey, check out my E book collection in my kindle" LAME! Well to each its own. Death to the smell of that brand new book pages. Death to the coffee table with your recent readings spralled across it. Soon when they take kids to the library they are gonna hand them a ipad. Hug a library today....soon it will b gone.

Mixtape Monday!

T-pain drops a new mixtape that i thought was pretty good...he definitely shows that he has lyrical skills. I still love the autotune shit. Ever since Roger died, he has done it the best. (Cant forget about Quik though.) but overall a pretty eclectic prerelease to his upcoming album. Check it out! it's a good listen.

The Laker Evaluation

I'mma play laker GM the day after one of the worse meltdowns in Laker history. Artest needs to be moved. his defense is ok, but brings very little offense. I would tell Fisher to retire, if not plan on being a 3rd string point guard. Odom will be moved to starting forward. i will tell him to fuck the TV show shit and next year is the year he will shoot for that allstar spot! Trade Gasol for a point guard, if we cant pick one up out of free agency. somebody quick and someone that can stay in front of other guards like Rose, Chris Paul, and Berea? Had to throw Berea in there because he ate our guards up! Next i would take Bynum in a dark room somewhere and smack the shit out of him for the shit he pulled at the end of game 4. Shit, i wanted to punch somebody in the face for the way the Lakers played! but that would be childish and what he did was a more of a discrace than the way the Lakers performed in the series against Dallas. Then i would tell him to get ready to be the main focus of the offense. Bynum is the Lakers future if he can stay healthy. Kobe will be the veteran that scores when needed, facilitates and gets everyone involved. Also i will tell kobe to make the 3 point shot his focus. change his game to move without the ball and knock down jumpers. shannon brown second string point guard, keep Barnes, Walton gone, blake gone. Hope Dwight Howard was telling the truth about becoming a Laker and comes and joins one of the greatest franchises of all time. Here to 2012! if there even is a season or the mayans where right and the end of the world is coming.

the greatest rapper of all time!

To me, the DOC is the greatest rapper of all time! I know that is my opinion and alot of people will disagree. I think if he would of never got into that car accident and lost his voice...of all things! He would of been in the conversation with Pac, Biggie, Jay-Z, Rakim, and the others who are thrown into that category. "Funky Enough" "The Formula" classic songs! I remember having his vinyl on my wall for years...i would go to bed, look up at that record and dream of being a west coast artist with the lyrical skills of the DOC.....my favorite rapper and my greatest influence.

14 years ago B.I.G. was killed. Crazy thing was he had the song "going back to Cali" on his new album and the first time he did come back to Cali, he was killed. I remember when i first heard "ready to die"...i went bananas!!!! it was the dopest shit i ever heard! "machine gun funk" my favorite, "everyday struggle" "me and my bitch" "shit done changed".....man! thats what you call a classic!!! Me and my brother were in china town about a week after his murder, and there was a wanted poster on the window of a restaurant looking for information on his killer. Of course i took it and have it now as a collectors item. All i can say is i wonder what type of music he would be making if he was still alive? i will always love Big Poppa. RIP.
